About
The Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC) is the management entity of the Special Improvement District. Began as Main Street Westfield in 1993, the organization is run by a staff of two, a volunteer board of directors, and various committees. Westfield is a nationally designated Main Street Community. Mission
The vision of the Downtown Westfield Corporation (DWC) is for Westfield, NJ to be a preferred destination where people want to live, work, and visit a place where our community connects and drives business to the District.
The DWC is committed to strengthening the downtown Special Improvement District as the center of community life; improving the District's economic viability by supporting existing businesses; encouraging the establishment of new enterprises; supporting cultural activities that complement existing stores and services; making Downtown Westfield a safer, cleaner and more attractive pedestrian environment, with adequate public parking to serve the needs of local residents and attract new shoppers and visitors from throughout the region; preserving the rich architectural legacy of the downtown area.
DWC oversees the four points approach of a designated Main Street community, including Design, Economic Vitality, Organization, and Promotions.
