Limousine License

LIMOUSINE LICENSE CHECKOFF LIST


Pursuant to the State of New Jersey requirements, the following information must be submitted to the Municipal Clerk's Office before a limousine license can be issued. 

  1. Applicant must operate a limousine business in Westfield
  2. Applicant must submit a completed application along with a fee of $50.00 per license
  3. Applicant must submit a current Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the Town of Westfield as additionally insured, as the Certificate Holder and listing all vehicles covered under the policy
  4. Applicant must include an EIN Certificate (formerly known as a Corp Code) issued by MVC
  5. Applicant must present a "Letter of Qualification" from the MVC for the applicant and each driver (This certifies drivers based on the results of a fingerprint live scan for a state criminal background check)
  6. All applicants must have a criminal record check done. See the Local Ordinance Renewal information below for instructions.

Local Ordinance Renewals: NJSP SBI 212A Submission Instructions

  1. Visit the website: https://www.njportal.com/njsp/criminalrecords/
  2. Enter the Westfield Police Department ORI#: NJ02020000
  3. Select Local Ordinance: Taxi Driver/Limo License
  4. Once the form is completed you will be instructed as to the method of payment. The fee is $20.00
  5. Once the form is "accepted", the Westfield Police Department will be advised of the results.
